Wow. Thank-you for this post. As a Catholic who has been having many overwhelming days lately this posting was very supportive & encouraging. The only way l am able to process & cope with the current insane world events is to view it all through my Catholic faith & rely on the Lord. I know who wins in the end. But it can sometimes get quite dark & scary. I have always treasured the works of Malachi Martin & you have encouraged me to go re-read whatever l can find of his books. Again, thank-you. God Bless!
Martin called his works "Faction" because they had huge elements of fact but he didn't want to get sued, so he changed just enough of the truth to keep it under the radar. When he realized the dark underbelly of corruption of the Church, he asked to be released from his priestly vow of poverty because he thought he could do more spiritual good on the outside, rather than as a Jesuit on the inside. This was a highly unusual request and I think it was approved in order to keep his silence. and have some continued control over him. There is a lie out there that he was kicked out and laicized. That's not true - his bishop was purposely trying to make him look bad and scandalize him. His bishop approved him leaving the vow of poverty so Martin could make money to support himself, which he did through writing and teaching. He continued to be celibate and he said Mass every day, keeping obedience to his other vows. He had the 3rd secret of Fatima revealed to him, which would have been very scandalous since only the Pope was allowed to see these documents. He actually saw the documents and had to swear an oath not to reveal it. He also was mainly known as a very powerful exorcist. His interviews with Art Bell are riveting and honestly I remember listening to them back in 1996 when I had insomnia and would turn on his show for entertainment. I thought Martin was a crack pot, kicked out by the church, because his stories were completely outlandish and the church maligned him at every opportunity. And every truth he uttered I see now has come to pass. He died a very strange accidental death that actually looked like a homicide. He is, bar none, one of the most brilliant and influential church minds of the 20th century. Had he stayed in his Jesuit order as a priest in complete standing, I think he would have not only been canonized, but made a Doctor of the Church. As a faithful Catholic watching our beloved church crumble from the inside, I already see the church going underground as a faithful remnant. Holy priests getting canceled and thrown aside, including my own pastor Fr. James Parker of Holy Cross Batavia, IL. Chicago is a hotbed of corrupt church activity, run by horrible Cardinal Cupich who, on the down low, is considered the "pope" of the US. That Chicago diocese is unrecognizable now, riddled with scandal, heresy, and outright crime. Other resources you might be interested in:
I left my novus ordo church when they shut down during the covid me-too freakout, and found the SSPX. I never knew the TLM still existed since I was reared post 1966. If you want to see a micro view of the corrupt Catholic Church, see this post I made about my ex-parish:
I think the category needs to be changed to non-fiction, just as many conspiracies are now the truth. They have weaved a tangled web that we have all been snared in. God help us!
Great post. Martin is missed by many of us. His book "Hostage to the Devil" is also a good read though not for the faint hearted. I always enjoyed the Art Bell interviews with Martin back in the day. Thoughtful stuff. Thank you Ms. Watt.
I'm so glad I found your substack. I've been looking for a place that can see the whole spiritual warfare going on now. I too am a Catholic and have just started reading Malachi's book. His interview with Art Bell back in the 90's is also very prophetic.
Thanks. As someone who is not a Catholic I find lots of truth here. As some of us seem to celebrate there is a truth to our Constitution which goes to the heart of the matter. We must celebrate our diversity as a big, diverse nation and as intended by our founding ancestors. These founding ancestors knew, beyond the bounds of their own limitations and prejudices, that this was true. Genetic diversity and cultural diversity are linked. Our future evolution as a species depends on our willingness and actions to support our unalienable rights. I embrace this diversity - it is our hope and our future. By celebrating, not denying, our interdependence we win.
And Katherine - me and the lawyers I’m working with on the legal/political fronts would LOVE to chat w you. I’m graham. I work with Rita, Jessica and Nicole at Facts Law Truth Justice here in CA. Please call or text me: 916-478-1088. THANK YOU!!
I might suggest something a little older than Christianity as inspiration for winning that third psycho-spiritual frontline. We are all Arjunas now. God can’t stop the war - but has already given us all the tools we need to be victorious. It’s ALL union with God. (Krishna can’t stop the war but can give Arjuna yoga.). So in the spiritual sense, we have already won. Because there never was any institution that could make a person closer to God. But there sure have been a whole lotta institutions whose whole purpose seems to have been to separate folk from the Creator. So with these crazy moves they’ve made last couple yrs, the satanic assholes who are so delusional they think they can control the whole world and actually keep shit under control have just cleared much of the smoke off the many battlefields and now we can all see everything so much more clearly. Especially who and where the enemy is. As brutal as it is, I think they’ve practically won the entire war for us with this whole “covid” play.
Thank you for the reference to Charlotte Iserbyte. I was able to find her book on Internet Archive. The intro says it all---we are at war---in fact have been under attack in a slow, gradual way for some time now. Her name has been scrubbed from the Net and it was difficult to find anything about her. Probably because the powers that be don't want us to know---this is contraband info, isn't it?
Anyway, thank you! I am just loving Substack and have learned so much from all of you!

You might enjoy father Martin’s interviews on coast to coast a.m. with art bell. A true human treasure, he was.

Teresa L in the comments recommended Malachi Martin's interviews with Art Bell in 1996. I was going to do the same - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwZFKWf-W0o851rziNQmrfj9wxKih99Hy

Faithful catholics need to stay strong and not abandon the church - it's the corrupt clergy who needs to go.

Martin is my favorite author. I mention his book Hostage to the Devil in this post https://frederickrsmith.substack.com/p/sodom-and-gomorra-plus-part-4-abortion
A fascinating topic with a lot of complexity.

Get out of Babylon,’ read the holy scriptures and get back to our Hebrew roots. Recommend John Garr’s wonderful books.
Amen!
Wow--this is wonderful. How art imitates life (and vice versa!)
