Well, anyone of my age and/or my experience must know that Afghanistan was a black-op for the drug trade conducted by you-know-who, that all the police can do is keep the appearance of law and order by eliminating competition for the cartels that are already linked up with the black ops. Producing synthetic drugs, however, doesn't need clandestine operations to the point of using military-grade R&D.
Glad you knew that it was a black op deal. They tried to kill me a few times, but that just made my resolve stronger. I've always been a rebel (hardass) and they hated me for it.
Sounds good enough to me. For me, it is already victory if I can leave this world in honor and an organic human being. Only a few might have that chance, and I don't count myself among them.
