Several Marine Corps Gulf War veterans I know suffer from Gastrointestinal disorders.. both received their shots but only one was deployed. The one who served stateside has advanced Crohns disease exacerbated by alcoholism and resulting from the pre-deployment vaccines which he admits. He has no regrets about anything that came from his service and was a handful trying to sponsor for recovery. He taught me about stubborness in accepting help, treatment of military service members and how chronic pain can lead to addiction.
