Paper books.

The smell of paper.

The feel of paper across your fingertips.

E-books....yuck.

I teach English at the high school level. I recently assigned an outside read for my students and told them that the books need to be real, no eBooks, Kindle, etc. I told them that having a book is a relationship, and that it is tactile as well as intellectual. I received mostly blank stares. Then, today I gave them some time to read, and I overheard a student say to another, "I like the way my book smells." Victory.

I love real books & especially hardback books & yes even beautifully designed books.

I collect & reread a lot of Christian books & Study Bibles.

Imagine if the internet was knocked out?

Or God forbid our electric grid & the internet?

Real books will be needed & valued a lot more than people realize.

Can feel the texture of the high-grade paper embellished with the unmistakable, wafting scent of organic compounds we recognize as the smell of ink when put upon paper. To simply imagine it is enough to lift the mood and relax the psyche.

And, there is that spectacular rendition of the 'First Joyful Mystery of the Rosary...The Annunciation' in all it's pigmented glory from a few days ago. Thank-you for this lovely revelation and sparkling treasure of a BOOK AS ART easily forgotten in this current age of cheap, antiseptic digital information containing no hand of human skill creating beauty what-so-ever.

It figures Katherine owns a printing press. It's almost too funny, and intuguing for words.

Naomi Wolf just began a fascinating series of videos on the Geneva Bible. She reads Hebrew, and the rather old English script in which the Bible the radical founders of the United States of America read. She is reading the Geneva Bible, and pointing out the mistranslations of the King James, and other versions. It's remarkable.

Oh, Katherine, I so love the passage you've quoted here from Henry Adams. I myself have always resonated with medieval/renaissance music, architecture, and illuminated manuscripts. My first trip to the Cloisters was like a dream journey back in time to a life of the sort that Adams describes with such eloquence. As with the artwork that you always include at the end of your posts, I greatly appreciate your reminding us here of the cultural beauty and richness that were possible before our current degraded age. It remains to be seen whether anything comparable will be possible in the time to come . . . Thank you so much for all that you do!

This piece really warmed our soul. We have a deep connection to book-making, printing, drawing - Julie helped to reinvigorate Printers Row in Chicago years ago and was fascinated with the all the old brick buildings that were once printing presses; and then in San Francisco worked across the street from a small book binder and on her breaks would go over there to just experience the magic of it all. There's a reason we chose to call our channel "Book of Ours" and in 2019 we were asked "What does book of ours mean, guys?" So we made this video to try to capture the meaning of it. Most of what we list in this video still stands true. As you know, many of us have changed our world-view as the Covid operation brought so many things to light. You're a light-bringer, and we feel so honored to be able to read your work and when you share little bits about yourself it really gives us hope that you will be one of those people assembling the new, out of the old. Imagine what an incredible world it will be when we are not encumbered by the threat of counter measures, capitalism and dark agendas. https://youtu.be/WADqomHF1MQ

Just beautiful Katherine... Unrelated, I wanted to offer high fives for your recent segment on SGT Report with Todd Callender and of course Sean of SGT. It was excellent and I thought both your comments and responses to the questions raised were laser focused and spot on. Love your work!

I just responded further to that first comment and then yours on the original site. How lovely.

Please be sure to go back to my one practical idea of finding out how Catherine Austin Fitts publishes her Solari Report 4 times a year. Those are quite striking, lots of color photography and graphics. These are publications to keep.

Love the illustration from the Book of Hours. I saw other intertwining art in books in Ireland like this. (The Book of Kells at Trinity University in Dublin) A lost art of amazing beauty.

Bellisimo! I love the miniature of the Annunciation. Reminds me of my final semester abroad in Florence Italy studying Italian Renaissance Art and the beautiful Florentine designs.

I used to study medieval manuscripts and visited them in the libraries where they are kept. They're truly stunning.

Katherine and all,

Your work is very valuable if The People unite giving everyone, including you the HOPE we will win this battle against Satan that we all want!

Your work will be a necessity when it is time to address accountability of all the Treasonous criminals!

The People have NOT begun to fight YET, refusing to UNITE in any productive Freedom Movement! So ALL the damage to EVERYONE from ALL the Treason continues until…

The next step has to be UNITY of The People…if ALL Treason is to be addressed with serious accountability!

No one, I repeat NO ONE in political power today will ever do the right things until they FEAR the people!

There is nothing for them to fear until we UNITE against them!

UNITED, We can do anything we want!

Divided, there is nothing we can do!

Lex Greene, writer with a serious resume at News With Views has another important piece out tomorrow…for ALL searching for UNITY!

P.S. My gloves came off 15 years ago, working with the NORTH AMERICAN LAW CENTER group. I highly suggest if you want to unite with people actually working real solutions…contact Lex Greene!

If you still want a pdf send the text file to me and I'll do the rest for you. Although I think you've moved on to a book format. Have you decided on which? Pocket books are the cheapest but there are a few others. Audible, ebooks, coffee table. Your show though, I wish you Godspeed and those were inspiring images.
